Profile
I received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Communication Systems (ICT) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree at Uppsala University in Computational Linguistics (NLP). I am now pursuing my PhD at Stockholm University, focusing on the area of AI + Education. My significant interest is applying modern pre-trained language models in educational scenarios. I have published papers about applying word embeddings in collaborative learning and BERT in auto-grading projects in AIED, EC-TEL, ICALT, MIS4TEL and will continue my research journey with other exciting models, such as GPT and DALLE.
Before my academic career, I worked at Ericsson 5G Incubator(Sweden) with innovation projects in the Open Source world. I mainly took part in the ONAP(Open Network Automation Platform) and O-RAN(Open Radio Access Networks). I also worked with Digital Services and Cloud transformation projects. Those cloud techniques have also been applied in my research, .eg., designing high-performance AI/ML APIs based on large language models in a cloud-native way.
I love travelling and playing with blockchain smart contracts during my spare time. I am writing posts about AI & NLP, cloud (MLOps), and Web 3.0 in this blog.
Working Experience
I am currently a PhD student and researcher at Stockholm University. I also worked on multiple projects at Ericsson AB, Sweden, for five years before my academic life.
2020.09 – 2024.09 PhD Candidate, Stockholm University, Sweden
– Research in the interdisciplinary area: AI (NLP) + Education.
– Build and apply modern pre-trained language models (Word2vec, BERT, GPT, Seq2seq Models) to educational scenarios.
– Design and code deep learning architectures for various NLP tasks, including regression, classification, information retrieval, question answering, natural language generations, etc.

Erisson 5G:
Work in Ericsson Incubator with innovation projects and contribute to Open Source Community.
– DCAE project in ONAP: Data Collection, Analytics, and Events processing.
– RIC non-RT in O-RAN: The primary goal of this project is to add non-real-time intelligent radio resource management, policies, and AI/ML models support in ORAN.
– Ericsson awarded’ Dinner for Two’ for the contribution in ORAN for Bronze release.
Ericsson Digital Services:
Work with Function testing, System testing, Cloud infrastructure development/Admin, and DevOps.
– Contributed to Cloud transformation for Ericsson Digital Service Product Multimedia Telephony Services.
